James Cameron has put in his two decades of experience, to create a spectacular magnum opus that has already created raves, way before it’s release this month. The much-hyped ‘Avatar’ is said to change the total perspective of filmmaking, creating a pioneering technology that will change the way science fiction films are made in the future. Avatar, which was Cameron’s dream project since youth, but was only put into script in 1994, after which it took another ten years to get the movie on the floor. After having directed great movies like Terminator and the Titanic, this multi-faceted director slipped into a long silence.

After more than a decade of the release of his last film, Titanic, which is the biggest blockbuster of all times having made a record box collection of $1.8 billion worldwide, Cameron has finally made the movie that he always wanted to make. The movie, which began production in 2006, is now complete after four years of struggle, research, hard work and determination. Cameron, who is believed to be a harsh taskmaster made his stars and staff deliver the best and he did not rest until he got everything right to the most precise detail.

He has created a complete universe, all with alien creatures and gigantic killer machines that use unbelievable technology that is remarkably superb. These hi-tech gadgets have been specially designed on the strict instructions given by Cameron, who himself is a gizmo expert. The set that was erected as the planet of Pandora, which is where the story takes place, uses flora and fauna influenced by the observations that Cameron made when he went scuba diving in the deep blue seas.

Most of the film has been shot in New Zealand and this is where all the digital visual effects have also been worked upon. Some parts of the film have been shot at various hangars at Los Angeles. But no matter where he shot the film, Cameron made sure that everything was done with perfection. Avatar is a movie that is way beyond our generation, but we can see ourselves relate to it. The movie has been long awaited and is now finally to be revealed to enthusiastic moviegoers who are impatiently waiting for its release. New Avatar Movie

The new Avatar movie started 2009 with more excitement and buzz than most movies can even hope for. With the return of James Cameron and the use of cool 3-D effects, Avatar has become the must-see movie of 2009. James Cameron’s movie “Avatar” will be his first featured directing film since Titanic which came out more than 11 years ago.

Here is Avatar’s storyline.

Avatar’s main character, Jake Sully, is a former solider who become paralyzed from the waist down in a battle on the planet Earth. Jake is contacted by special forces to join a new program called Avatar. This new Avatar program will allow Jake to walk again as a new life form. Jake agrees and travels to the small extraterrestrial moon Pandora.

Pandora is a lush jungle inhabited by amazing life forms called the Na’vi. The Na’vi are ten foot humanoids that have blue sparkling skin and long tails. The Na’vi are usually very gentle unless they are attacked by an outside force.

When Jake arrives on Pandora he is unwillingly forced to steal a valuable mineral from the Pandora forests.

Since humans are unable to breath on Pandora, Jake has to rely on an Avatar, a Human-Navi hybrid. Avatars are special living creations that are controlled by a human driver through the use of new technology.

Using his new Avatar, Jake travels through Pandora’s thick forests to search a valuable mineral.

During his travels Jake discovers many beauties and several dangers.

The new Avatar movie is jam-packed with action, adventure and romance.
